Your Parenting Coach is a home and school based parent coaching program developed by Natasha Kendal, Ph.D., L.M.F.T. The program was developed in order to help parents and children in the environments that are most natural for them. In home and school settings, parenting coaches can see real life examples of situations that cause difficulty to families. In these natural spaces, coaches and parents can work together on real life solutions.
All of the coaches in Your Parenting Coach are licensed mental health professionals. This is not the norm in parent coaching across the US. Many people have the notion that any parent, adult or life coach can be professionally engaged as a parenting coach. At Your Parenting Coach, we understand the developmental stages of children and the psychosocial as well as neuropsychological issues that may come into play in a family. It is clear from years of experience that only trained and licensed parenting coaches make the necessary impact on families. Our coaches make the difference between success and failure for a child in school, with sibling relationships and with parent interactions.
Our intensive program has a proven track record of moving families from Chaos to Peace.
When working with Your Parenting Coach, families choose a program schedule that suits their family’s needs. Thereafter, a parent coach and the family develop a relationship and the coach works in the home and/or school with the parents and child. Coaches identify problem and challenge areas and recommend programs to implement change. Our coaches may also help with assessments and referrals to specialists if it is decided that will be helpful to the family.
Parents that are tired of chaotic home situations, difficult bedtime routines, struggles with homework, mealtime or sibling relationships, often feel almost immediate relief when they begin working with Your Parenting Coach. It is our greatest pleasure to bring a new sense of peace into people’s homes and to see families begin to flourish and enjoy their lives together.
