“Relationships are the agents of change, and the most powerful therapy is human love”- Dr. Bruce Perry.
Throughout the course of their development, children and families experience stress and change. In spite of the complex challenges confronting families today, the quality of parent-child relationship has the greatest impact on the development of our children. Working with families to foster healthy and secure relationships creates healing, growth, and change on the deepest of levels. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with a background in infant, child, adolescent, adult, group, and family therapies. I have had the opportunity to work with children and families who are working through a variety of social, emotional, and mental health challenges, including: Child and adolescent anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, substance abuse, ADHD, parent-child interaction problems, challenging behavior, ASD, developmental disabilities, and difficulties related to school, home, and social environments. I believe in the strength and beauty of the human spirit to grow, heal, and persevere, even through life’s most difficult circumstances. Helping others through that process is a great joy and an honor.
